THE NEW ECONOMY OF IMAGES OR HOW TO MONETIZE VIDEOS

The economy of images from production to broadcast was transformed by new possibilities that comes with digital technology. Long been considered a simple promotion tool, music videos have become an important source of revenue for record labels. The lowering cost of productions have allowed for the multiplication of the number of music videos produced. The monetization of these videos on diverse platforms opened up a new market in which independent labels can benefit. This workshop will comment on the state of this new economy in the presence of specialists of production, distribution, marketing and monetization of music videos, who will share their knowledge and offer pinpointed advice on the best way to optimize investments in a sector that has become crucial pour the visibility of artists and the pocket books of labels.

The SPPF is a non-trading collecting society set up by Independent Producers when the 1985 law come into force.
The SPPF provides a range of services which have been adapted to suit your requirements :
•constitution of a Corporate Register listing your phonograms and videograms,
•collection and distribution of royalties pertaining to the use of your phonograms and videograms,
•representation and protection of your rights both at national and international level,
•systematic attribution of an ISRC Code to each of your recordings.

Monitoring and analysis of the evolution of your rights means that the SPPF can start a debate every time it proves necessary and draw the attention of official bodies when your rights need to be defended more vigorously or reinforced, whether in France, in the European Union or in signatory countries to the Rome Convention.
