David started his career at Virgin Records in the 90's, where he worked on international marketing campaigns for artists such as Daft Punk, Spice Girls and Massive attack. He started writing about digital music in 2000, and helped found the long-running UK-based music industry publication Record of the Day, where he writes weekly analysis of the latest music industry developments. In his day job he helps independent record labels and artists navigate the digital music space as Head of Content for the Hamburg-based distribution and label services company finetunes.
